The area inside the roof achieves extremely high temperatures in summer and very cold temperatures in winter.
In summer hot air is trapped and heated in the roof space, reaching temperatures of 80 to 90 degrees. By installing a Whirlybird this trapped air is realeased as the roof space is ventilated.
